Hope 4 Kidz Intl 2024 Annual Photo Story

Pics 1 & 52 Keith and Chona. This year we celebrated not only our 30th wedding anniversary, renewing our vows among our cherished Calvary Glorious Church family, but also another year of God's amazing work through H4Kz. Your love, and support energize God's wonderful work through our lives! Here are highlights of this exciting year of God’s many blessings. May His loving presence enrich your Christmas and New Year.

Pics 2 to 19 Calvary Glorious Church: We celebrated Valentines’ Day highlighting romantic Christian love, Pics 2 & 3, followed by a spirited celebration of our blessed first Church Anniversary, Pics 4 thru 6. Two members asked I officiate their first and mine, traditional Filipino wedding, Pic 7. Our Baptism ceremony strived to recapture the bone fides of this ancient ritual as we follow Jesus and His early Church (Pics 8 & 9). Prayer Circles (Pics 10 & 11) strengthen relationships as youth and adults share, and our Bible studies (Pics 12 &13) continue. Our PulpitMasters speaking and leading fellowship welcomed a hosted Church at our facility into our program (Pics 14 to 16). The talented youth drama team were invited to serve at several local Christian convocations, including the 100,000 strong Jesus Reigns worship festival, (Pics 17 to 19).

Pic 20 to 22 Caridad Jungle Church Second Anniversary. All the Caridad kids pictured live miles from any road. Many are trapped in heart-rendering family situations. They are all praying for sponsors.

Pic 23 Bogo Jail Christian Church. The faithful at our Bogo Church include Daniel (lifer) who the Warden disciplined for spending too much time (20 minutes) praying with me following our weekly service.

Pic 24 & 25 H4Kz Outreaches. Our solid core ministry, planting gospel hope, sharing worship songs, Jesus’ stories, games, food, and fellowship with the kids continues, warmed, brightened, and cemented in young hearts as concrete Christmas-in-July gifts bring Jesus’ love kids’ touch, see and remember.

Pic 26 to 28 Sponsored Kids Promotion. Sponsored kids continue to amaze when equipped, allowed to grab opportunities funded by their generous sponsors, including sweet Lucille, pictured here (28), always bouncing around our Parsonage and Church asking to help! Covid catch-up classes through the sweltering summer delayed promotions. Classes now begin at 5 AM (parents killed planned 4 AM start), with two shifts each day.

Pics 29 to 38 Summer Camp. Our prior youth leaders return like the rains of spring, now blessedly strong Christian adults, celebrating their H4Kz roots. Our youth whole heartedly drank Jesus Ephesians 6 truths. Daily prayer, classes, games, food, fellowship, internalize God’s Stand Strong imperative (Eph 6:11), our Camp theme. Partnering churches happily enjoyed our retreat facilities, nearing completion, including the fluffy addition of Barney, H4Kz’s year-old Shih Tzu mascot (38). Several pastors and leaders brought rousing pulpit messages capping evening worship during our 5-day, longest ever camp.

Pics 39 to 42 Hope 4 Kidz Retreat Center. Built to continue God’s blessed mission while funding hope for destitute kids, I’m blessed as ministry opportunities now come to me! I enjoyed sharing with hundreds of our hosted, spontaneous Assemblies of God Youth. I’ve enjoying praying with visiting officials, Cebuano pastors, and the many open-hearted day use visitors. We know God wants a larger family. We pray He grows it here.

Pics 43 to 51 Christmas Parties. Our party resounded with carols as partnering churches gathered. Pastor Hector's Consecrated Bible Church gift boxes lined the stage brimming with God's overflowing love. Festive skits, testimonies, and games began the rollicking celebration honoring God’s unmatched gift of Jesus. Food and fellowship preceded the exciting moment "OPEN" rang out, letting each child discover the tangible love shared over the miles by their generous Christian family. It’s a joy they'll remember throughout the year.

2023 Annual Photo Story

Hope 4 Kidz Intl 2023 Annual Photo Story

Pic 1 to 6 H4Kz Outreaches The H4Kz founding vision, creatively sharing the gospel through worship, preaching, teaching, games, and food, continues, now also empowered by your Christmas in July donations.

Pic 7 to 10 Mission Station Bible Studies Years of successful outreaches around Tuburan led to regular Bible studies plus our rural Caridad church plant when we relocated from San Remigio in 2021.

Pic 11 to 21 Calvary Glorious Church. Those Bible studies and outreaches, plus our Valentines Day marriage vows renewal, led to weekly services starting Easter Sunday. Our first baptism of twenty-six members of all ages coincided with our contractor’s surprise visit, completing the pool (plus his generous mission donation).

H4Kz PulpitMasters program builds confidence and skills in sharing personal testimonies including several members working towards pulpit ministry. It’s the safest, funest, everyone-involved Bible Study. Fresh, weekly Bible themes, five-minute prepared messages with constructive feedback given and received, radically grow member abilities to lead and inspire. Youth PulpitMasters brings a cool, new-wine believing vibe. Perhaps PulpitMasters would refresh your Church’s New Year?

Jesus prayer and supernatural healing ministry continues to change lives because it hinges on relationship with Him. Many without access to medical care are blessed.

Founded to declare God’s glory we were especially encourage as several hundred worshippers overflowed our Camp facilities last summer. We pray God make this the best place on earth to meet with Him.

Pics 22 to 29 Summer Camp Our former high school work study students (now college grads) returned to serve as servant-leaders at our first post-pandemic youth camp. Partnering churches happily rekindled friendships. Blazing worship, heart-wrenching testimonies, daily classes, games, food, fellowship and more, capped by nightly pulpit messages blessed us all.

Pics 30 to 33 Jail House Churches Popular, long-standing services at our Bogo Jail Christian Church continue and advancing PulpitMasters share our pulpit. I may never know if my covert human rights referral and secret meetings with investigators led to most of the nearly 100 tortuously overcrowded inmates transferring out of our local two-cell jail to better facilities. But we love seeing God at work.

Pics 34 Campus Ministry. High School Bible Study groups are the direct result of PulpitMasters youth applying their new skills, knowledge, and confidence.

Pics 35 to 47 Christmas Parties. As church construction neared completion our many pastors, leaders and kids enjoyed their first visit to H4Kz new home. Your many generous Christmas in July donations, lovingly gathered and packed by Pastor Hector’s Consecrated Bible Church, arrived just in time. Kids’ entertaining presentations, testimonies, and games, followed by food and fellowship reconnecting old friends, was all topped by opening their treasured gift boxes.

Our drama team shared the Christmas message for our construction workers’ party. Games, food and gifts blessed all and their families. Our beloved neighbors’ Christmas presentation gladden hearts, too. The joy of celebrating Jesus lingers as the blessings of many gifts lasts all year.

Pics 48 Hope 4 Kidz Retreat Beach Cottages. Bordering the infinity pool, we believe H4Kz retreat cottages will sustain ministry to destitute kids plus community outreaches until Jesus’ return.

Pics 49 to 52 Keith and Chona It’s been a tumultuous hospital year from Chona’s freak rebar impalement to my weird gastrointestinal bug. But we were not alone. With love for one another and for you, we give thanks for this opportunity to serve. We pray God give you a joyous, blessed, soul-satisfying Christmas!

2022 Annual Photo Story

Pic 1 & 10 H4Kz Outreach. Gospel outreach opportunities abound as we evangelize youth in this underserved area of rural Cebu. Extra Christmas box donations open young hearts. As God’s saving grace pours out during worship, games, food, and fellowship, youth respond in faith as our Lord continues seeking and saving.

Pics 11 to 16 Jail Church . We happily began the only church service for up to 94 inmates crammed into two Tuburan City Jail cells. We also continued our popular, long-standing, services at our Bogo Jail Christian Church. Prisoners ready to connect with God grow in faith. H4Kz aspiring pastors are blessed with pulpit opportunities. Please pray for resumption of face-to-face Bogo Jail services as Covid restrictions decline.

Pic 17 to 21 Caridad Church Plant. Christmas-in-July donations primed the spiritual pump at our Caridad outreach. H4Kz patterned outreach opens the door for children’s services. Adult Bible studies follow often growing into successful church plants, like Caridad. Services begun this year now regularly exceed 50.

Pics 22 to 24 Adult Bible Studies. Responding Christians, new and old, come with hunger and eagerness to grow in their faith by God’s grace. We teach weekly Bible studies at our Mission, at Tuburan Jail, and Caridad Church. Many openings to teach and preach as Jesus commanded happily stretch our resources to respond.

Pics 25 to 32 Youth Discipleship and Education. Pioneering churches lack Sunday School programs leaving a wide-open door to extend Hope 4 Kidz discipleship among and beyond our sponsored kids. Change in life trajectories result as God opens glorious avenues of grace drawing youth to give their hearts in faith to God.

Pic 33 Pulpit Masters. Our sanctified spin on Toastmasters’ oral communication and leadership training is popular. Prepared message competition using our flexible sermon format is intense. Then shy Filipino’s clamor for the pulpit, responding to off-the-cuff questions. Awards for best speaker, best evaluator, and best table topics speaker highlight each meeting while gospel sharing skills grow, strengthening our ministries.

Pics 34 to 40 Vacation Bible School (VBS). Our first ever H4Kz VBS at Caridad Church, nearly an hour’s hike into the forest, attracted almost two hundred. God blessed the spirited worship, teaching, games, creative youth presentations, prayer, food, fellowship, and fun. The Lord’s response as adult’s prayerfully sought healing and deliverance through truth and power is leading us into new areas of ministry by His awesome Spirit.

Pics 41 to 43 Christmas Cards and Letters. Sponsored kids reflect on God’s grace as they grow in faith in church, in school, and in Hope 4 Kidz discipleship activities, including writing their sponsors.

Pics 44 to 50 Kids’ Christmas Parties. Covid limited our Christmas parties. Your response to our H4Kz Christmas in July donation rally blessed the socks off these kids. God’s gift of Jesus takes center stage bolstered by your donations, beautifully boxed, and shipped by Pastor Hector’s Consecrated Bible Church. Treasured all year, this gift is often the only one many of these destitute kids receive.

Pics 51 Hope 4 Kidz Retreat Beach Cottages. H4Kz hopes completion of this cottage and others will provide support for sponsoring destitute kids and multiplying community outreaches.

Pic 52 MERRY CHRISTMAS! THANK -YOU! Your encouraging prayers and support bless us both. The joy of these opportunities for declaring God’s glory keep pressing us forward as we learn day-by-day to trust God’s work in and through our lives.

2021 Annual Photo Story

Pic 1 & 2 Prayer Walk. Friendly, open Filipinos bless my prayer walk, inviting me to join them, openly discussing their spiritual journeys! It is the best of times as welcoming family groups, young adults and even teenagers enthusiastically talk with me and with God, seeking to follow Jesus, continuing His growing ministry.

Pics 3 to 5 Covid Relief Work. We entered an unexpected second year providing Covid relief food, PPE, and H4Kz spiritual encouragement, blessing destitute pastors, kids, and families even as our resources depleted.

Pic 6 Pastors’ Savings and Credit Ministry. 100% owned, financed and managed by Filipino Pastors blessing those with no bank accounts, no credit cards, no safe place to keep their money (as we oversee and consult).

Pics 7 to 9 Bogo Jail Christian Church. New Christian warden (H4Kz hat) at Bogo Jail, permitted resumption of our popular church services, moving us and our overflowing prison congregation outdoors for Covid safety. Stone walls do not a prison make for those receiving the blessings and joy of living in harmony and fellowship with God! We rejoice at yet another H4Kz church plant by God’s grace in answer to your prayers and support!

Pics 10 to 16 Community Outreach. Kids and youth are introduced to the joy of worshiping God together. Bible stories, memory verses, fun, food and fellowship ice this gospel-spreading cake! Prayerful opportunities to respond to the Father’s summons see the knowledge and glory of God continue filling the earth.

Pics 17 to 19 Bible Studies. Please pray God use these gatherings to multiply His churches.

Pic 20 Bible Interpretation Simplified. We pray this Facebook H4Kz on-line study, freely providing resources 24/7, help servant leaders equip for passing the gospel baton, growing the glorious fame and knowledge of God.

Pics 21 to 23 Outreach to Prisoners’ Families. Poor kids with open hearts missing locked-up parents viscerally seek God as we help prepare them and their families to welcome home loved ones when released.

Pics 24 to 26 Leadership Training. H4kz training for pastors and leaders focuses on pulpit ministry plus mentoring sponsored kids and their families. At the pastors’ request we taught a 3-day leadership conference, including Bible Interpretation Simplified and Glory Life Planning sections, with follow-up teach-backs.

Pics 27 to 33 Discipling Youth. Studying at home, with schools still closed, H4Kz continues equipping sponsored kids. One H4Kz church plant celebrated its first baptism, as both youth and adults, including one grandmother publicly declared their faith in Jesus to God’s glory!

Pic 34 H4Kz Relocation. Our expiring lease plus our landlord’s desire to sell led us 35 miles south to rural Tuburan. Welcoming neighbors blessedly carried our stuff in from our stuck-in-the-mud rented truck.

Pics 35 to 37 Christmas Card Gratitude. Jesus said, “Let the children come to me.” Kids gratefully respond in cards and letters. It’s a special time of reflection for each child plus heart preparation for the new year.

Pics 38 to 52 Kids’ Christmas Parties. Prayerful months of Covid suspense preceded our H4Kz Christmas in July donation rally, led by Pastor Hector. Your Christmas gifts bolster recognition of Jesus, God’s best gift! Sponsored kids interpret this in skits, worship, preaching, Bible memorization, plus games, celebrating with Christmas dinner plus a gift box for each child. Your gift is the only one many kids get. It is cherished all year!

2020 Annual Photo Story

Pics 1 to 9 Gospel and Prayer at Public Schools. Kids love worshiping together. Teachers join in. Bible stories, Bible skits, memory verses all lead to God’s awesome offer of salvation by grace. Thousands learn of Jesus death, resurrection and sending the Holy Spirit for them. Prayerful opportunities to respond plus a take-home gospel tract precede our hosted games, fellowship and food, icing the gospel-sharing cake! Department of Education Certificates of Appreciation recognize our work raising-up the next generation in grace and truth.

Pics 10 to 14 Congregation Go Make Disciples OJT. Keith responded to invitations to share the gospel at partnering churches. Then trained H4Kz volunteers help congregations split into teams. After boldly sharing the gospel in their communities, they return with exciting stories of response to Christ’s loving offer. What a blessing sharing joy available in restoring relationships with God! Games and a fellowship meal top-off the day.

Pics 15 to 17 Pastors Meetings. Our regular training meetings for partnering pastors and leaders focus on growing our gospel driven ministries plus fellowship, fun and mentored kids’ status updates.

Pics 18 to 19 Bogo Jail Bible Church. Our concern about schedule overload as we visited Bogo Jail turned to rejoicing at the response to God’s invitation to the blessing, the glory, of living in fellowship and in harmony with Him! Our outreach is now a H4Kz church plant among God’s least and lost. We are so thankful for each of you, as you co-laboring with us, to bring the truth of the blessings of Jesus Christ to so many suffering souls!

Pics 20 to 21 Outreach to Prisoners’ Kids. Lonely kids are in deep poverty as they miss incarcerated, breadwinning parent(s). See the value of a simple visit in the faces of prisoners’ loved ones as God bridges barriers for entire families to obey the gospel of Jesus Christ. Prisoners’ tears of gratitude touch every heart as they thank God and us for visiting their families!

Pics 22 to 26 Covid Relief Work. No sooner did we thank God for a much-needed pickup truck than He filled it with tons of relief supplies for poor people suddenly trapped, no longer allowed to provide for themselves, by Covid quarantine. We are feeding both body and soul, as unemployment skyrocketed, nearing 50% on Cebu.

Pics 27 to 28 Covid Spiritual Retreat. We preach, “Don’t waste your quarantine,” distributing Bibles and our Covid Spiritual Retreat Guides, developed, translated, published plus our quaranteam helps in implementation.

Pics 29 to 30 Discipling Sponsored Kids, Encouraging Leaders. Equipping school kids this year included tippy-tap water-stingy handwashing stations with the school supplies plus encouraging gospel sharing boldness.

Pics 31 to 33 Savings and Credit Ministry. Blessed to receive Savings and Credit Ministry training, we shared at first post-Covid N. Cebu Pastor’s Assoc meeting, facilitating two new financially empowering ministries.

Pics 34 to 36 Christmas in July. Pastor Hector leads the rally gathering tangible donations for impoverished kids, to highlight their celebration of Jesus first arrival, God’s best gift of all. Your gifts cement that lesson. Plus, as the only gift many kids will receive during 2020, your contribution will be treasured all year long!

H4Kz 2019 Year in Review

More detailed pictures are on Facebook at facebook.com/hope4kidzinternational.

Pics 1 to 14: H4Kz 2019 Summer Camp. “I want to go to camp!” is a familiar cry of impoverished sponsored kids. All our partnering Filipino church families participate. The Spirit of the Lord blessed from transportation of the 200+ kids, pastors and volunteers to our rented campground until the final candlelight parade to the evening bonfire, washed in worship and prayer. Kid’s met individually and in groups for three days of devotions with pastors and leaders. Bible study and training sessions were interspersed with games, skits, drama, worship, messages, including a popular guest youth pastor the final night. Their faith, boosted by hearing the Word of God, grew. Age appropriate activities blessed every camper. Hope filled kids, spirits soaring high, left following God as with eagles wings (our Camp theme from Isaiah 40).

Pic 15 H4Kz Expository Bible Training Course (EBT). Our 16-hour course pictured is being taught at a packed rural Filipino church. Much in demand, we also equipped another Mission Organization with our EBT materials. Students receive tools for and practice interpreting, applying and sharing God’s Word.

Pics 16 - 18 Teaming to Go Make Disciples. Our 2019 team building exercise at Camp focused on forming church teams to reach out with the gospel of Christ locally. Following up, Sundays we share an emphatic good news message then help our pioneering church partners form and lead gospel sharing teams into their communities. I wish you could hear the enthusiastic teams report what God did at the end of the day! We conclude sharing a fellowship meal and games together.

Pics 19 to 22 Visiting and Equipping. Visits encourage the kids and parents while keeping us grounded and connected with those we’re called to serve. We equip the kids with everything they need to attend school and grow in the Lord.

Pics 23 to 37 School Gospel Outreaches. We’re blessed to present the gospel of Jesus Christ in worship songs, Bible stories, Bible skits plus Bible memory verse competitions in the public schools. Open hearts respond in praise, prayer and thanksgiving. This a wide-open door to the unreached. We have more invitations than we can handle. Thousands of kids learn of the redeeming life, death and resurrection of Jesus for the first time. Local pastors follow-up at each school. Kids, principals, teachers, even Department of Education encourage and thank us.

Pics 38 to 39 Hope 4 Kids Philippines Pastors and Leaders. We regularly meet with the pioneering pastors and leaders of our partnering churches. Training needs are addressed as we teach from the three books we’ve published in Cebuano plus our Expository Bible Training course. We also coordinate with and encourage the pastors during the year while equipping and monitoring kids we’re discipling.

Pics 40 to 41 Outreach to Prisoners’ Kids. A Christmas gift box, a simple act of love, given to cheer kids sadly missing a jailed parent, opens the door for entire families to receive Jesus.

Pics 42 to 52 Kids Christmas. Christmas gift boxes excite and bless the kids as they gather, celebrating Jesus’ arrival in the flesh. Following the Christmas message, each church group entertains with a spirited Christmas presentation. Inspirational testimonies, Bible memory verse recitations, and a kids’ preaching contest are followed by games and Christmas dinner. Receiving the Christmas in July gifts sent by Christian brothers and sisters with hearts for these less fortunate is a highlight as we celebrate the best gift of all, Jesus.

Pic 53 Cherish & Randy’s Wedding Day. Officiating the wedding celebration of our daughter, Cherish, to Randy Wieczorek at Taft Point, Yosemite, we honored Almighty God where the heavens so clearly declare His glory.

H4Kz 2018 Gospel Sharing Photos

H4Kz Christmas 2018

More detailed pictures are on Facebook at facebook.com/hope4kidzinternational.

Pics 1 through 8: The two kids Christmas parties, for kids North and South. Here’s where Christmas in July donations go. Each of our dozen or so partnering Filipino churches bring an entertaining Christmas presentation. The kids compete in our memory verse and preaching contests. We have games and Christmas dinner and I’m privileged to share the Christmas message. This all builds to the highlight: what’s in those gift boxes?!

Pics 9 through 12: January Medical Outreach. H4Kz facilitated seventy support personal including a dozen M 16 carrying soldiers supporting rural medical outreach of a dozen medical professionals led by Dr. Jeanine Kofford and Adrian Pereira from California. Over 1,000 poor Filipinos received a small fortune in medicine, medical care, counseling, prayer, Cebuano Bibles and Bible study books in their heart language.

Pics 13 and 14: Christmas Box Outreach. Extra Christmas boxes blessed poor kids in rural Cebu. God blessed their souls as we shared the gift of the gospel; doubly blessed by the Body of Christ’s Christmas in July shoebox gifts!

Pics 15 through 32: Public School Worship, Gospel, Prayer, Games and Food. Thousands of kids in public schools first hear the gospel at H4Kz presentations. School teachers and staff help us! Many kids jump up on the school stage leading worship with Chona. The gospel is in our worship songs, in our Bible stories and our Bible skits and in our Bible memory verse competition. Finally, a local pastor presents God’s free gift again. Everyone receives an opportunity to respond and gets a H4Kz gospel tract with the local pastor’s phone number for follow-up.

Then it’s game time! Whether tug of war, multi-kid jump rope, hula hoops, badminton, volley ball, or the amazing gospel relay race, kids love games!

Kids and parents are also notified by the school to bring bowls and spoons as we feed everyone. Teachers and parents help cook, monitor games, and feed the kids. Schools usually present H4Kz a Department of Education Certificate of Recognition thanking us as our program winds up. Happy, well fed, kids depart with stories and gospel tracts to share.

Pics 33 to 46: H4Kz Summer Camp. What a huge spiritual milestone for the kids! Our Landlord gave us his truck and crew to haul our camp supplies. Kid’s get a chance to get all their God questions answered, discuss life issues with peers, pastors and leaders, spend time with God in the Word privately and in group devotions. We have age appropriate classes, activities, and games for all. Run the Race was our 2018 theme.

Pics 47 and 48: H4Kz Home Visits. Visits encourage kids and parents.

Pics 49 and 50: Jail Ministry. We trained Prisoners to lead worship and preach and teach God’s word. We’re training trainers to train others to teach our Expository Bible Training course.

Pics 51 and 52: Teaching and Meeting with Partnering Pastors. Training and coordination with our partnering pastors and leaders led to publication and teaching of Christian Belief’s Cebuano Edition last year and recently to publication of Trinity: Is God One or Three? and Jesus: How was God enfleshed? (also available on Amazon.com) to meet their express training needs. Throughout the year we follow-up with the pastors and the sponsored kids we’re discipling through their local churches.

Pics 53, 54, and 55: Praying God Lead, Guide and Provide. God is growing His Kingdom. We’re THANKFUL for every partner running the gospel relay race with us to equip and facilitate growth and multiplication of Spirit filled Filipinos blessing God and His churches!

What makes us successful

We are successful because we intentionally rely on God's implementation of his plan. Relying on Jesus' sandwich of his great commission, "Go and make disciples" between, "all authority has been given to me" and his, "surely I am with you always," we reach out. Jesus' great assurance gives us courage, resources and provision to humbly serve, helping carry out His great plan for humanity.
